About the Foundation

The Jack Brown Foundation was established in loving memory of Jack Brown, a spirited five-year-old whose life was tragically cut short far too soon.

Jack’s infectious smile, boundless energy, and deep love for his community, nature, learning, and sport continue to inspire everyone who knew him.

This Foundation ensures that Jack’s name and legacy live on - by making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, just as he did in his short time with us.

Our Mission

The Jack Brown Foundation exists to honour Jack’s life by nurturing the values he embodied: curiosity, kindness, energy, community spirit, and a love of the outdoors.

In its first five years, the Foundation will provide at least $10,000 in small, targeted grants to support children and community groups. These grants will focus on four key areas that reflect Jack’s greatest passions:

Education - Helping young minds explore and grow

Sport - Supporting participation, inclusion, and fun in local sports

Nature - Encouraging connection with the natural world

Community - Backing initiatives that bring people together and foster belonging

Each year, the Foundation will award four grants - one in each category - to individuals, schools, or community groups who share Jack’s values and spirit.

Our vision is to transform the unimaginable loss of a beautiful life into a force for good - creating ripples of joy, opportunity, and connection for children and communities for years to come.

Through these small but powerful acts of giving, we ensure that Jack’s spirit shines on - in classrooms, on sports fields, in bushlands and backyards, and within the hearts of communities he never had the chance to meet.
